Branding for Waterford Youth Services

Here at Terry Byrne Design we were recently contracted by Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Services who were looking for new branding proposals for two of it’s Waterford city based Youth Service centers, Edmund Rice and Farronshoneen Centres. The basic brief was to use the distinctive and newly developed building shapes as the actual brand. Using our own site photography, hand sketching and then Illustrator, we looked for the unique architectural elements of each development and created these two unique brands. We think the overall style works well and gives each centre a unique and bespoke brand.

The overall aim of Waterford & South Tipperary Community Youth Service is to assist the positive personal, social, spiritual and educational development of young people, in particular those who are experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion; to enable them to exercise greater control over their lives by empowering them to make active choices and decisions, to exercise responsibility and to contribute to the development of their community, environment and society.

They offer a wide range of special services from youth information centres, residential activity centres, various premises and relevant equipment. WSTCYS has many projects operating including, Early Schools Leavers and The Garda Youth Diversion Project etc. There are many youth clubs and groups organised, covering training, technical support, regional programmes and codes of practise.
